This tool isn't available yet
Repair PDF runs on our file-processing service, which is still being set up. Rather than have you upload a file we know we cannot process, we have turned the upload off.
These work right now
They run entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded at all.
When a download is interrupted or a drive fails mid-write, a PDF can end up with a broken index even though most of its content is intact. Repair PDF rebuilds that index and recovers whatever survived.
What repair can and cannot do
We try three engines in turn, each more aggressive than the last. If the damage is confined to the cross-reference table — by far the most common case — recovery is usually complete. If parts of the file were never written, those pages are genuinely gone and no tool can invent them. We will tell you exactly how many pages came back so you can check nothing is missing.
Frequently asked questions
My PDF opens but shows blank pages. Will this help?
Sometimes. It is worth trying — repair rebuilds the structure, which often restores pages a viewer had given up on.
Can you recover a file that was never fully downloaded?
Only the part that arrived. Missing bytes cannot be reconstructed.
