This tool isn't available yet
PDF to Word runs on our file-processing service, which is still being set up. Rather than have you upload a file we know we cannot process, we have turned the upload off.
These work right now
They run entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded at all.
PDF to Word rebuilds your document as an editable .docx, keeping paragraphs, tables and images in place as far as the source allows.
Be realistic about conversion
PDF describes where marks sit on a page; Word describes a flowing document. Converting between them means inferring structure that the PDF never recorded. Straightforward documents — reports, letters, articles — convert very well. Dense multi-column layouts, heavy design work and complex tables will need tidying afterwards. Anyone promising a perfect conversion of any PDF is not being straight with you.
Frequently asked questions
Will the layout be identical?
Close on ordinary documents; not identical on complex ones. Expect to adjust a few things.
