This tool isn't available yet
Favicon Generator runs on our file-processing service, which is still being set up. Rather than have you upload a file we know we cannot process, we have turned the upload off.
These work right now
They run entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded at all.
Upload one square image and get back every size a site actually needs: 16 through 512 pixels, an Apple touch icon, and a multi-resolution favicon.ico.
Frequently asked questions
What size should I upload?
At least 256×256, square, with the important part well inside the edges. Fine detail disappears entirely at 16px.
Do I still need favicon.ico?
Modern browsers prefer PNG, but some older software and bookmark tools still look for /favicon.ico. It costs nothing to include, so we generate it.
